Topical Treatments for Acne:

a. Salicylic Acid (BHA)
Why it helps: Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) that penetrates deep into pores to exfoliate the skin and remove excess oil and dead skin cells, preventing clogged pores that lead to acne. It also helps reduce inflammation.
Usage: Apply a salicylic acid-based cleanser or spot treatment to affected areas once or twice a day.

c. Niacinamide (Topical)
Why it helps: In addition to being effective as an internal supplement, niacinamide (vitamin B3) in topical form can reduce inflammation, brighten dark spots, and control oil production, which is critical for managing acne.
Usage: Apply a niacinamide serum to the entire face or specific acne spots 1-2 times per day.

  • Hydration: Drinking plenty of water helps maintain skin hydration and flush out toxins, which can improve skin clarity.

  • Sleep: Getting enough sleep (7-9 hours a night) is essential for hormonal balance and overall skin health.
